Yankees wake up to take game 5

October 21st 2010 08:44

CC Sabathia pitched like their life depend on it and the Yankees batters actual hit the ball like their backs were against the wall.

Three Homers and 6 total extra base hits lead the Yankees to a 7-2 win to send the series back to Texas still needing to win the last two games.

Texas was still great at the plate getting 13 hits but only one long ball and only two extra base hits prevented them from winning their first pennant.

Big problem for Texas was it was either get a hit or strikeout. The Rangers had 10 batters strikeout leaving 17 runners on base.

Colby Lewis will battle Phil Hughes on Friday in Texas
