On a decent day for free agent signings eight players were picked up.
Cubs sign LF Bryan LaHair
Blue Jays sign LHP Willie Collazo
Giants sign 1B Aubrey Huff
Blue Jays sign SS Jesus Merchan
Cubs sign RHP Vince Perkins
Cubs sign RHP Jeff Kennard
Pirates sign RF Ryan Church
Mariners sign 1B Brad Nelson
Alot of teams are trying to get everything ready for next month while some are looking to upgrade.
Ryan Church gets a one-year deal worth 1.5 million with more being added for perfromance.
Aubrey Huff signed a one-year deal worth 3 million.
The rest of the eight signed minor league deals.
The Huff signing for the Giants is really good. Huff will help this team have some type of stability.
The Church signing could be good for the Pirates if he can get back to the stats he earned in 2007.
