Ramon Hernandez is the hero of Day One in MLB action
April 6th 2011 03:25
Opening day is past us and Baseball is in full swing. Sorry this is late but have been on vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains.
March 31st
New York Yankees 6 Detroit 3
Atlanta 2 Washington 0
Cincinnati 7 Milwaukee 6
Los Angeles Angels 4 Kansas City 2
Los Angeles Dodgers 2 San Francisco 1
Man oh man what a opening day it was. There was many great plays and players on Day one of the MLB season.
Each day i will pick a player who i fell was better than the rest. Proclaiming him Player of the day. Borrowing an idea from Joe Soriano who writes a great blog called Pro Sports Wrap who has a player or sports personality of the day.
I have chosen four that have stood out to me.
Clayton Kershaw(LAD) 7.0 IP 1BB 9K 0.00ERA
Matt Holliday (STL) 3-4 1R 2RBI 1BB 1HR
Melky Cabera(KC) 3-4 1BB
There are three great performances but the winner is Ramon Hernandez. Ramon hit a Game Winning Three Run Homer to give his team a win. Hernandez had four hits in total to pace the Cincinnati Reds.
Ramon Hernandez 4-5 1R 3RBI 1HR
Well their you have it. Day One was great and i can't wait for Day Two.
