Pujols Leaves Cards heading to Angels
December 8th 2011 15:45
Albert Pujols has agreed to a 10-year, $250 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney on Thursday.
The deal includes a full no-trade clause.
Pujols is a three-time MVP who batted .299 with 37 homers and 99 RBIs in 2011, the only season in his 11-year career that he didn't have 100 RBIs or hit better than .300.
If we look at this very closely this was easily a smart move for Albert. Go to the American League where he can get rest as a DH and his career will last probaly the full 10 years. I would have love to see him stay in St. Louis but the move makes sense to me.
