ALDS Game One Preview Detroit @ New York

In what should be the best division series in baseball the Detroit Tigers will meet the New York Yankees at 837pm et Friday. The Tigers will throw Justin Verlander who is 24-5 on the season. The Yankees will counter with C.C. Sabathia who is 19-8 on the season.
Verlander should easily win this matchup as he is 9-0 in his last 10 starts while Sabathia has struggled and is only 4-3 over his last 10.
Tigers keys to win.
1. Support Verlander. Detroit will need to get runs in support of Verlander. Verlander is good to go seven or more innings but needs runs to win.
2. Get to Sabathia early. I do not like the Yankees Bullpen so getting to Sabathia early should help the Tigers.
Yankees keys to win.
1. Stay in Game. I do not see the Yankees getting many runs against Verlander but if the can stay close you never know.
2. Power The Yankees will need the power stroke from Granderson, Cano, Teixeira and Rodriguez to win. Verlander will not give up many hits but one swing can give you runs.
3. Quality Pitching from Sabathia. As long as Sabathia can stay in control and not have a bad inning Yanks should be ok.
Prediction for Game:
I like Verlander in this matchup. Tigers will pull the upset and take game one 4-1.
Prediction for Series:
With Verlander atleast getting two of the wins the Tigers defeat the Yanks in Four. Justin Verlander ALDS MVP
